How it works
Payment is by monthly subscription. Alternatively, an annual one-time payment can be made in advance.
Subscription payments are taken in advance either monthly by Direct Debit or, in the case of an annual payment, by credit or debit card. The first direct debit will be taken on the 1st of the month after you sign up, if you sign up by the end of business on 18th of the month. In the case that you sign up after 18th of the month, payments for the period up to the following 1st of the month will be payable pro-rata via credit or debit card. Reception will advise on the prorata amount. A £5 per month saving applies to each of two or more memberships from the same household (for example two Unicorn memberships would cost £184 per month rather than £194).
Cooling off period
You will have 14 days from the day after signing the membership forms in which to cancel your membership with no cost. After this you will be sent a membership pack with your membership card and polo shirt.
Weekly lessons & cancellations
As part of your membership you are entitled to receive 50 thirty-minute lessons a year. In the event you are unable to attend your scheduled lesson, we will work with you to reschedule, as long as you give us at least 48 hours’ notice. If 48 hours’ notice is not provided, that lesson will be lost and cannot be rescheduled. Your lesson is specific to you and your development and is therefore non-transferrable. Each weekly lesson can only be rescheduled once and needs to be rebooked at the time of rescheduling and taken within a maximum period of three months otherwise that lesson will be forfeited. A maximum of six lessons can be taken in any 30-day period. Up to 2 lessons can be rescheduled beyond the end date of your annual membership. Bookings can only be rescheduled to another lesson of 30 minutes at the same level or as deemed suitable by the Ride High Equestrian Centre team in order to ensure groups are made up of riders of similar ability. Cancelled, lost or forfeited lessons cannot be accrued, refunded or transferred to another person. Horse riding is an outdoor activity that continues in all weathers, year-round. In the event that the site is unsafe or on the rare occasion that we have to cancel a lesson for another reason beyond our reasonable control, the lesson will be rearranged for a time to suit both parties. We will endeavour to give you notice of this change whenever possible. Where your usual lesson falls on a day that we are closed (such as Christmas Day), we will provide additional sessions within our timetable so you can ride at another convenient time.
Membership is for a minimum period of 12 months from the membership start date. A minimum of 12 monthly payments are required before this contract may be terminated. After 12 months if you wish to cancel your membership please give us one month’s notice and email your cancellation request to: firstname.lastname@example.org. Correspondence under these circumstances will be treated in confidence and your personal data will be managed in accordance with our Data Protection Policy which is available on our website. All members are required to adhere to the Ride High Equestrian Centre Health and Safety Policy, Riders’ Code of Conduct and other relevant policies as advised, and membership may be cancelled in the event that such policies and codes of conduct are disregarded.
