August 2022 - New clients looking for group riding lessons:

Please be advised that we are currently operating a waiting list for all new riders who would like group riding lessons.

Please email our Reception Team with your details (contact number, experience, height and weight) if you would like to join our waiting list and we will be in touch when an assessment lesson becomes available.  Please note PRIVATE LESSONS do not require a waiting list or assessment. These can be booked at any time.

We have no capacity for new group riders at this time and assessment lessons booked directly by new riders via EC Pro, may be cancelled and refunded.

Our focus is on small group sessions and learning at your own pace – you’ll never be just one of the crowd at the Ride High Equestrian Centre.

Our instructors work with people who’ve never ridden before, nervous riders who’d like to build confidence, returning riders who want to refresh their skills and those who’ve ridden a lot. Whatever your previous experience our aim is to give you an enjoyable and rewarding time with our beautiful horses.

Before your lesson be sure to check out our Important Information page which includes information on what to wear and more. You can find out more about our lesson lengths and pricing below.  New clients will require an assessment lesson before joining a group.  Assessment lessons can be booked via ECPro.

Please note: We have a range of ponies and horses to suit all skill levels, but our maximum weight limit is 12 stone and you may be asked to stand on the scale, as the welfare of our horses is paramount.

For children

New riders:  Please book an assessment (private 30 min lesson)  prior to joining a group lesson – your child will be graded at the assessment and will then be able to join a suitable group or they can continue with private or semi-private lessons.

Adult riders who can already ride but have not ridden with us before: Please book an assessment (private 30 min lesson)  prior to joining a group lesson – you will be graded at the assessment and you will then be able to join a suitable group or you can continue with private or semi-private lessons.

Adult beginners: Please book an assessment (private 30 min lesson) – there is no current group availability for beginner adults but we can offer private or semi-private lessons.

Private Lessons for Beginners and Improvers – 30 minutes
If you’re an adult beginner we recommend you start your learning with some 30-minute private lessons. These one to one sessions are ideal for building confidence and learn the very basics before joining the group lessons. If you’re more experienced, private lessons are great for working on specific skills to take back to your group lessons, and to develop your overall riding more quickly. We offer block booking savings on private lessons for adult beginner riders – please ask at reception if you’re interested.

Novice, Intermediate & Advanced Riding Lessons – 60 minutes
We offer a range of group lessons for all ages and abilities. Our expert instructors provide advice and tuition in these longer sessions.
