Bobby is the newest member of the team at the Ride High Equestrian Centre. His first friend was Mishka but now he’s been added to the boys herd he’s making many more pony pals. Bobby loves cuddles, baths, hacking out and exploring new places. He’s really brave and you’ll find him helping out our beginners as they learn to ride. He’s still learning the ropes and doesn’t like being startled so if you see him sleeping in his stable be sure to approach him quietly.

Jemima is one of a kind! Adorable, hardworking and a tough little cookie who’s afraid of nothing. She’s affectionately nicknamed ‘Baby Rhino’ because of her uncanny resemblance to these beasts – did you know that the International Rhino Foundation says that the closest living rhino relatives are horses! She’s very protective of her pony friends and she hates being on a diet.
Breed: Connemara X
Smartie is our resident laid back sun worshipper with a cheeky side. He’s great with our beginners and while some may say he’s lazy we just think he likes to take a chilled-out approach to life. His favourite thing is to pass back his feed bucket when he’s finished so our yard team can fill it up for him!
Gentle giant Wizard is one our tallest residents but don’t let that put you off. He’s great with all ages and loves attention. Make sure you say hello when you pass his stable.
Breed: Thoroughbred X
MJ is the grandma of the herd and is usually very chilled unless she’s ‘hangry’! School work isn’t her strong point, but hacking is her main love and she has helped test all the new hacking routes we offer. She’s very trusting and she can often be found hanging out with her best friend Dee Dee.
Paddy is a real heart stealer! He will always greet you with a friendly whinny and wants nothing more than love and affection. A hardy little horse with bundles of energy, his big dislike is not getting enough attention!
Breed: Irish Sport Horse
Bonnie loves the finer things in life including ‘spa days’ on the yard, sleeping in her stable, and good food. If she could have her way she’d take early retirement and head straight to the Bahamas! So long as there aren’t any crazy pigeons over there…
Breed: Heinz 57
Ride High royalty, Splash is one of the founding members of the equestrian centre. She loves peace and quiet and you’ll never see her rushing to get anywhere!
Lexi is one of the sweetest ponies at the centre and will do anything to please. She’s a very good really listener and loves a good scratch on her neck! Make sure you say hello if you pass her stable door.

Coco is friends with everyone, horses and people, and he loves being in the field with his friends. Coco is quite sensitive and caring and picks up on emotions and body language. He’s very handsome and will do anything for a bit of praise or even a cheeky carrot! Coco enjoys his job and loves being part of the Ride High team.

Speedy is one of the smallest ponies on the yard. She may be small but her legs move at 100 miles an hour like a cartoon! Her favourite part of the day is nap time, and she can often be found lying flat out in her stable. Speedy is very friendly and loves interacting with people so make sure you come and meet her.
Breed: Welsh Part Bred
Meet Razzle Dazzle, arguably one of the cutest ponies you’ll meet at the centre. You’ll normally find him doing yoga in his stable (or during lessons) as he loves a good stretch. Razzle is very affectionate and will give you lots of kisses and cuddles for a polo.
Breed: New Forest

Fun, reliable, calm and a natural at what she does. Poppy loves helping beginner riders, especially as they learn to canter, and one of her favourite things is going out to explore on a hack.
Breed: Irish Sport Pony
Dolly is a true princess, she loves fuss and attention – especially baths and big scratches. She feeds off your behaviour and feelings so if you are calm Dolly is too, if you start getting a bit excited Dolly will notice and get a bit energetic as well! She is independent and happy to lead the group during lesson times. In the field she likes to hang out with her friend Poppy.
Breed: New Forest X
Grady is his own pony, he will listen to your idea and then give a few of his own and likes to test who’s boss. He is happiest trotting up and down his field, speaking to any passing people or horses. Grady is very soft and lovely to groom, and is a nice gentle ride with easy paces.
Breed: Irish Sport Horse X Irish Draft
Ride High’s largest resident. Even though he’s big Suave is super friendly and an extremely handsome horse. His favourite part of the day is breakfast time when he’s known to neigh as loud as he can to let the team know he’s hungry. He likes to hide in the back of his stable and sleep so please look out for him if you can’t see his head over the stable door.
*hh stands for hands high.
Horses are traditionally measured in hands and inches from the ground up to the base of the horses neck. A hand is 4 inches so a 14. 2 hands high pony means 14 hands and 2 inches. Therefore 58 inches.
